ALICE COOPER Helps Rescue Sales At German Chain Of Electronics Outlets

According to The New York Times, legendary rocker Alice Cooper is featured in a television spot that is part of an advertising campaign that German viewers could hardly avoid in recent months. Mr. Cooper plays the proprietor of Coopers Bar, a grungy, outer-solar-system watering hole patronized by gruesome aliens and the occasional wayward space agency employee.

The campaign, which both satirizes and promotes modern technology, has helped rescue sales at Saturn, a chain of electronics outlets that belongs to Metro Group, the largest German retailer.
